Because displacement represents a severe threat to the local arts community, Uber needs to engage with local artists, organizers, and community leaders in order to help local artists and arts organizations stay in Oakland. Uber must also support local artists through art purchases, access at no cost to community spaces, and volunteer talent to help nonprofit arts groups build capacity.
